CRITICAL: Enable Incognito Mode Permission

This extension MUST have "Allow in Incognito" enabled to work properly. Without this permission, the extension cannot access or manage your incognito bookmarks.

Install the Extension

First, install the Incognito Bookmark Manager from the Chrome Web Store and pin it for easy access.

Step 1.1: Install from Chrome Web Store

Click "Add to Chrome" on the extension's store page

Go to Chrome Web Store

Step 1.2: Pin the Extension

Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome toolbar and pin Incognito Bookmark Manager for easy access

Step 1.3: Quick Test

Click the extension icon in your toolbar to verify it's installed correctly

Enable Incognito Mode Permission (CRITICAL)

This step is ESSENTIAL. The extension is designed specifically for managing bookmarks in incognito/private browsing mode and will not work properly without this permission.

Step 2.1: Open Extensions Page

Type chrome://extensions/ in your address bar or click the puzzle piece icon and select "Manage Extensions"

Step 2.2: Find Incognito Bookmark Manager

Locate "Incognito Bookmark Manager" in your extensions list and click "Details"

Step 2.3: Enable "Allow in Incognito"

Toggle ON the "Allow in Incognito" setting. This is REQUIRED for the extension to function properly.

⚠️ Critical: Without this permission, the extension CANNOT access or manage bookmarks in incognito mode. This is the most important step!

Access the Full Manager

The extension provides two ways to manage your bookmarks: a quick popup and a full manager page.

Click the extension icon in your toolbar for quick access to basic functions

Right-click the extension icon and select "Open Full Manager" or click the expand button in the popup

Keyboard Shortcut

Set up a keyboard shortcut for instant access

  • Go to chrome://extensions/shortcuts
  • Find "Incognito Bookmark Manager"
  • Set your preferred shortcut (e.g., Alt+B)

Start Using the Manager

Learn the essential features to start managing your bookmarks effectively.

Add a Bookmark

  1. Click the "+" or "Add Bookmark" button
  2. Enter the URL and title
  3. Add tags for easy searching
  4. Click "Save"

  1. Use the search bar at the top
  2. Type keywords from title or URL
  3. Filter by tags if needed
  4. Results appear instantly

License Activation (For Paid Users)

If you've purchased a Plus or Premium license, activate it here.

Where to Enter Your License

  1. Open the extension
  2. Go to Settings → License tab
  3. Enter your license key: IBM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXX
  4. Enter your passcode (created during purchase)
  5. Click "Activate License"
